Night Scapes

Deadhorse Point Milkyway
Imagine walking around in pitch black. There is no moon out so the stars shine bright, but not enough to illuminate the landscape ahead of you. So you see quite the contrast of stars above over a see of blackness. Beyond this tree there is a steep drop off into the canyonlands stretching for miles and miles. Flowing through this canyon now shrouded in black it the Colorado River. It is interesting how during the day our gaze would be guided downward into the canyon, but during the night it is the sky steals our attention despite the dramatic landscape below our very noses.
